February 28th, 2020 – UPDATE
For those of you who have been asking, we are planning a protest concerning the inhuman-barbaric shipment of horses to Japan for human consumption. We will keep you posted. This will happen at YYZ at the international airport soon.

NOTE: Jann meant YYC [Calgary].
Jann Arden is organizing a protest rally!
Once again thank you to Canadian legend Jann Arden for speaking out against the inhumane transport of horses from Canada to Japan to be slaughtered for human consumption.
Jann is calling on volunteers to join her in a rally at Calgary International Airport to protest the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) breaking international shipping regulations.
P.S. Yes, horses are slaughtered for human consumption in Canada. Not only are Canadian horses slaughtered, American horses are shipped to Canada and Mexico for slaughter.
Learn about how you can help even if you are not going to be attending the protest in Calgary AND the ground breaking lawsuit CHDC is appealing against the Canadian government at:
I’d anyone would be interested in joining me for a rally at the yyc airport to support the horses being crammed into crates and “illegally” treated and shipped to Japan for human beings to eat— let me know. Would love to get a group of people together

The Canadian Horse Defence Coalition would like to thank Jann Arden for her support!
Not only has Jann contributed financially, she’s been helping spread the word about horse slaughter in Canada for human consumption — and the inhumane transport of horses by air to other markets to be slaughtered for the same purpose.
Jann has recently been “attacked” on Twitter, in particular, for speaking out, about a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
Please join us in thanking Jann, for not being afraid to speak up.
